Insight Meets With Hundreds of Military Service Members to Support DACOWITS

July 8, 2016 by Sabra

In support of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS), Insight staff traveled the country to conduct site visits at military installations during April and May 2016. During these visits, our team held focus groups with more than 500 Service members from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy about issues related to women in the military. Results from these visits will inform the Committee’s annual recommendations to the Secretary of Defense; these recommendations help shape new policies and procedures on topics such as women in combat, maternity leave, and sexual harassment and sexual assault.
