Insight supported implementation of the 2021 Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) Training Conference for USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). D-SNAP provides emergency nutrition assistance to people in the aftermath of a major disaster. FNS prepared the 2021 D-SNAP Training Conference to support state agencies at this critical time. The conference offered National Office and Regional Office perspectives on D-SNAP policy and practice, state agency discussions, and training on how to plan and operate D-SNAP for approximately 400 state, Regional Office, and National Office staff.

Insight supported the conference as follows:

  • Design and implementation of the conference registration page
  • Design and implementation of the conference website
  • Support for the conference planning committee on agenda design and conference logistics
  • Management of speaker prerecording sessions
  • Management of speaker preparation for live presentations
  • Coordination of submission of speaker presentations, speaker information, and conference resources stored on the conference website
  • Online meeting logistics
  • Asynchronous training on topics such as effective communication strategies
  • Facilitation of participant interaction during the training
  • Attendee evaluation surveys of the conference

Following the conference, Insight produced a detailed report of attendance and evaluation results.
