The Indicators of Diet Quality, Nutrition, and Health for Americans by Program Participation Status, 2011–2016: SNAP Report examines the relationships between SNAP participation and selected measures of diet quality, such as the Healthy Eating Index, macro/micronutrient intakes, and food consumption patterns; and selected measures of health status such as body mass index, blood pressure, and selected blood biomarkers. It also examines how outcomes vary for SNAP participants who participate in several food assistance programs. The study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
