SNAP-Ed Data Improvement Agenda and Action Plan

This action plan represents an important first step toward the goal of improved SNAP-Ed data at the national level. Outlined within the action plan are 15 recommendations organized around 4 priority areas related to data collection and reporting; continuity across the program’s data life cycle, accessibility and transparency; and longer term planning. These recommendations were informed by a focused review of SNAP-Ed literature and resources, 21 technical working group meetings focused on 12 important SNAP-Ed data categories, 3 Steering Committee meetings, discussions with FNS, and information gleaned from presentations and discussions at the 2020 annual conference of the Association of SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education Administrators. Over 100 SNAP-Ed and other nutrition and research experts participated in these steering committee and technical working group meetings.
