Andrew is a data analyst with 4 years of experience using data to answer policy questions. He uses statistical software such as SAS and R to merge and analyze various types of data, including nationally representative surveys and administrative data. Andrew strives to thoroughly understand the context and limitations of each input dataset to better inform how to approach analyses efficiently.

At Westat Insight, Andrew works with clients such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the National Science Foundation. His work includes estimating program reach and effectiveness, identifying and proposing solutions for potential data quality issues, and incorporating statistical techniques into these analyses to better understand underlying trends. Andrew clearly communicates these findings to audiences with varying levels of familiarity with the data.

Prior to joining Westat Insight, Andrew was an analyst at Acumen, LLC, where he worked extensively with health data in support of projects with HHS. He earned his M.S. in applied economics from Florida State University.
