Hilary is an experienced technical assistance provider and a researcher in the fields of nutrition and human services programs. She has 15 years of experience managing small- and large-scale projects, providing policy support and training, and conducting qualitative research.
At Westat Insight, Hilary has supported projects for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS); the Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE); and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. For example, she is project director for OPRE’s Methodological Advancements and FNS’s Applicability of Systems Science Approaches to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. She also provides technical assistance, including dissemination expertise, for the Missouri Foundation for the Health SNAP Basics publication.
Earlier, Hilary was a research analyst with the Global Obesity Prevention Center at Johns Hopkins University. A Certified Meeting Professional—the meeting and event industry’s gold standard designation—she is experienced in all phases of event initiation, implementation, monitoring, and closeout. Hilary holds an M.P.H. in food, nutrition, and health from Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health.
