Janet brings decades of experience in graphic design and desktop publishing, conveying complex data in attractive and easy-to-understand figures and infographics for all Westat Insight divisions. She works at an expert level in a wide variety of software programs for document layout, graphics, scanning, and proofreading. Janet also creates website updates, supports social media posting, and conducts checks for Section 508 compliance.

Earlier, Janet was a prepress technician, creating high-resolution PDFs for customer approval and providing technical assistance. As a graphic artist, she prepared monthly publications and newsletters, manuals, and stationery and logo designs. She often collaborated with the corporate communications department and trained coworkers in the use of software programs. Janet transitioned from typesetting to integrated desktop publishing in PC and Mac environments.
